Cabbage with peas is a perfect choice for winter meals. This home cooked patta gobhi matar is healthy and nutritious. The real taste comes when served with hot chapatis or phulkas. It can be a perfect tiffin box lunch.
Patta Gobhi Matar (Cabbage cooked with Peas) Ingredients
Finely chop cabbage, onions and tomatoes.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and onions and fry till golden brown.
Add the ginger garlic paste to it and fry for another 2 minutes.
Add the chopped tomatoes and mix it well. Stir it for few seconds and then add cabbage and peas.
Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder to the veggies and stir it for another 2-3 minutes.
Pour half cup of water so that the cabbage gets cooked easily and cover it with a lid. Fry the veggies on a medium flame.
A couple of times, remove the lid and stir the veggies. Continue to cook till the water evaporates and cabbage is cooked and the peas are also softened.
