Aloo Fulkopi Chorchori is very common and easy cuisine in bengal. It is basically dried potato and cauliflower curry.Cauliflower is called fulkopi in West Bengal.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp onion seed
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 medium sized cauliflower cut into small florets
  • 2 mediun sized potato cut into small cubes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

Steps

  1. Take a wok and put it on heat, when it is hot add oil.
  2. When the oil becomes hot,add onion seed and green chilli.
  3. When the onion seed starts to splutter add cauliflower and fry them,add potato and then add salt,sugar and turmeric powder,fry them well.
  4. When the oil comes out add a little water and cover it with a lid,allow it to cook till the cauliflower and potato soft.
  5. Now switch off the heat and it is ready to serve.

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot with paratha or chapathi.
