This is a Mughlai bread made with plain flour and traditionally made in a tandoor which is a brick oven. It can also be made over a stove. This has to be eaten hot or else it may turn rubbery as this dish does not include oil while making it. For a healthy option you can substitute plain flour with whole wheat or multigrain flour

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1tbsp curd
  • ½ cup water

Steps

  1. In a large bowl mix the plain flour along with salt, baking powder and curd.
  2. Add water sparingly and form a soft dough.
  3. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 5 portions
  5. Roll it out with the help of plain flour
  6. Heat a girdle and toast each side of the rolled out dough.
  7. Toast till it fluffs up.
  8. Serve it hot.

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot with any gravy dish like paneer butter masala or chiken tikka masala
