Kesari Bath is onf of the most popular breakfast meal in the silicon valley of India - Bangalore. It is made with semolina, water and sugar. It’s a simple recipe with a delicious outcome. Traditionally many people use saffron to get that kesari (saffron) colour. In south India people have kesari bath for breakfast.

Steps

  1. In a wok dry roast the semolina till light brown in color and keep aside.
  2. In the same wok add a table spoon of ghee and fry the nuts and raisins. Keep this aside as well.
  3. Add water, cardamom pods and remaining ghee to the same wok and heat till it comes to a boil.
  4. To this add the sugar and let it come to boil again.
  5. Once the water starts bubbling slowly add the roasted semolina, almonds and raisin.
  6. Keep on stirring till the semolina is cooked and the consistence is thick and sticky.
  7. Serve hot.

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot with garnish of chopped almonds.
