Potato buns are quite common in north India as a snack. Children love to have in their tiffin boxes. It is the easiest snack to prepare. Since, it is prepared on non stick pan, so very less oil is needed.
Potato Buns Ingredients
Mash the potatoes well. To this, mix chopped onion, green chilly, coriander leaves, red chilly powder, chaat masala, salt and garam masala.
Cut the buns into 2 halves. Then on each half of the bun, spread the potato mixture nicely. Similarly do it for all other pieces.
Now, heat a nonstick pan. Pour some oil and keep the bun pieces with potato side touching the pan.
Let it fry till they turn golden brown. Take care it doesnot get burnt. Cook it on the other side as well. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
Serve potato buns with tomato ketchup. Also it goes well with pudina/mint chutney.
